What can I encode in a QR code?+
Any text: URLs, Wi-Fi credentials (WIFI:S:ssid;T:WPA;P:password;; format), vCard contact cards, SMS messages, email addresses or plain text.
What is error correction?+
QR codes contain redundant data so they remain scannable even when partially obscured. Level H allows up to 30% damage; use H for printed codes and L for clean digital displays.
What is the character limit?+
At error correction level L: ~7,089 numeric digits, ~4,296 alphanumeric, or ~2,953 bytes of arbitrary text. Higher error correction reduces capacity.
Can I customise the colours?+
A custom foreground / background colour option is available in the advanced settings panel.
How much data can a QR code store?+
Up to 7,089 numeric characters or 4,296 alphanumeric characters in the highest-capacity version. URLs are short enough to always work. The more data, the denser and harder to scan the QR code becomes.
Does the QR code work offline after generation?+
Yes. The QR image is generated entirely in your browser. Once visible, it can be screenshotted or saved and used without any internet connection.
What is the best error correction level?+
Medium (M) is the default and handles ~15% damage. Use High (H) if you are printing on materials that might get scratched or dirty — it handles ~30% damage but makes the QR code denser.
