What is a standard tip percentage?+

How is the tip split?+
The tip and total are divided equally among all guests. Unequal splits are not yet supported.
Does it handle rounding?+
Per-person amounts are rounded to 2 decimal places. There may be a 1–2 cent discrepancy due to rounding.
Does it work in any currency?+
Yes. The tool is currency-neutral — enter any amount in any denomination.
Should I tip on the pre-tax or post-tax amount?+
In the US, convention is to tip on the pre-tax amount. In most other countries, tipping on the total (post-tax) is standard.
