About this tool

Resize images client-side. No file is ever uploaded.

The Image Resizer processes images entirely in your browser using the Canvas API — no file is ever uploaded to a server. Drag and drop or select a JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP image, enter new dimensions (or a percentage scale), and download the resized file. The aspect ratio can be locked or unlocked independently.

Example

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my image uploaded to a server?+
No. Images are processed entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is ever transmitted.
What formats are supported?+
JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF (first frame only for animated GIFs). Output format can also be changed.
Can I maintain aspect ratio?+
Yes. The lock icon links width and height — change one and the other adjusts proportionally.
What is the maximum image size?+
Limited by browser memory. Most modern browsers handle images up to 30–50 megapixels without issues.
Is there a file size or resolution limit?+
No server-side limit. The tool processes images in the browser. Very large images (50MP+) may use significant browser memory.
Does it maintain aspect ratio?+
Yes, by default. The "Keep aspect ratio" checkbox (checked by default) scales width and height proportionally. Uncheck to set both independently.
